Zooming along...
Thanks goodness for Zoom. This month I have enjoyed listening to talks by Rob and Sharron Prenton-Jones (with Cannock Photographic Society), Roger Evans, Jim Hartje (both with Leicester Forest Photographic Society), Glenys Garnett (with the RPS Digital Imaging Group), Frank McGovern (with Corby Camera Club) and an introduction to mobile phone photography by U3A member Phil Aldridge at Desborough and Rothwell Photographic Society. I have also seen the MCPF Travelling Portfolio, and observed several competitions and battles courtesy of Corby Camera Club. On the more active side I have judged a 3-way battle for Market Harborough Photographic Society and a PDI Heat for Stratford Photo Group. To maintain my competitive "edge" I have entered a PDI heat and a trio/panels competition at Desborough and Rothwell PS, with some success. I also entered competitions at Leicester Forest PS and the RPS Digital Imaging Group (without success). Active photography has been confined to two football matches and some Sunday walks around local villages. I have also been grateful that Sky Arts is now on Freeview, allowing me to follow Master Of Photography and also Portrait Artist Of The Year. (And as a classical music and opera fan there have been many other programmes to enjoy on that channel).
