The main feature of last month was a tour of Northern Ireland and Dublin. My first ever visit even though my grandmother came from Cork. It left a very strong impression on me. Lots of photos but I'm not sure they really express my feelings at the time - they remain as just holiday snaps I suppose. After the holiday we had a really enjoyable Sunday at Foxton near Cambridge courtesy of the RPS Digital Imaging Group, with speaker Janet Haines. I was so inspired that I joined the DIG afterwards! Judging wise, I visited Bedworth and Exhall CC to judge some prints, and Peterborough City CC to judge prints and projected images. A good variety of images to talk about and a warm friendly welcome at both clubs. Competitions at my club had the usual ups and downs - 2nd in the monochrome section, Highly Commended in the colour section of this month's Print Heat, but no success in the Digital Projected Image Heat. Took my Mazda MX5 to the National Rally at Gaydon - some car photographs which interest me but not many other people! The final "photo event" of the month was Stamford AFC beating Loughborough Dynamo in the FA Cup, my photos being used on Stamford AFC's website etc.
